The Tapia Camps is a 6-day, 5-night residential summer camp at Rice University in Houston, TX covering topics in:
You'll learn the math and science behind cool and surprising things:
How do we know there are planets orbiting other stars?
How can you hide secret information in digital images?
Should solar panels track the sun?
... and much more!
Then you'll learn how to communicate effectively by oral presentation and by graphic design.
At the end of camp, you'll compete with and against your peers for awards on:

Summer 2020 Programs:
July 5-10, 2020: Top 3 incoming 12th graders and all rising 8th-12th graders welcome. Registration Link
July 12-17, 2020: All rising 8th-12th graders and Dual Language (English/Spanish & English/Mandarin) learners welcome. Registration Link
All programs are $1595. A 10% discount is available for early bird registration before 2/1/2020 (Deadline extended) and for students of alumni and staff of Rice University. Discounts may not be combined.
Districts registering at least 5 students receive discounted price of $1250. Special tracks available for Top 3 ranked incoming seniors (Week 1) and Dual Language Learners (Week 2).
Both programs are 6-day, 5-night all-inclusive residential educational experiences that include lodging, food, entertainment, and a field trip. Campers are responsible for transportation to and from Rice University in Houston, TX at the beginning and end of the program.

During camp, students get to meet Professor Richard Tapia, a renowned mathematician who is a member of both the National Academy of Science and the National Academy of Engineering.
